About 20,000 Dialogues

UPF’s reach is broadened and deepened through its public educational program, 20,000 Dialogues (www.20000dialogues.org). 20,000 Dialogues is a nationwide initiative that uses film to facilitate informed conversations and public programs about Muslims and Islam. The program uses online marketing, partnerships with national organizations, and extensive outreach to high schools and libraries to identify individuals and institutions interested and able to conduct small- and large-scale public programs. Though the largest programs have had as many as 1,400 in attendance, and there have been several public programs with several hundred people, the emphasis of the initiative is grassroots and directed to the heartland. For most of the program the average number of participants is under 25.

The total number of dialogues held is now topping over 10,000. More than 300 organizations, such as universities, schools, libraries, and civic groups, have partnered. Altogether an estimated 70,000 people have participated in these events.
